WELCOME TO THE ORMEAU LIONS FAIR SITE REGISTRATION PAGE

Interested in having a site at this year’s Ormeau Lions Fair? The Fair will be held over two days – Saturday the 15th and Sunday 16th September at Ritchie Bros Auctioneers.

PLEASE READ THE  INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE FILLING IN THE APPLICATION FORM

Please note that while we are evaluating applications received to date – we have an excess of applications from Ice-cream, fairy floss, Coffee and slushies. As a result we will not be considering any more vendors from the sites.

Your checklist for applying for a site:

  • Read the information below
  • Information we will require from a successful candidate:
    • A completed application form
    • Payment for your site
    • A signed Site Agreement Form
    • Proof of Liability Insurance
    • If you are a food vendor, proof of Gold Coast Council Food permit

SITE COSTS ARE:

  • 4 metre x 3 metre – cost $160 for two days
  • 6 metre x 3 metre – cost $240 for two days
  • 8 metre x 3 metre – cost $320 for two days
  • Other size – POA

PAYMENTS AND REQUIRED FORMS

Please pay for your required site size when you apply (for POA please detail your requirements and we will advise you on cost). Applications will not be finally approved unless payment is received and you provide us with the other required forms (Site Agreement, liability insurance, and food permit if appropriate).

The application form includes the ability to pay via PayPal (this method accepts Visa, MasterCard and Amex) or you can use the banking BSB system as per previous years. The application form will allow you to upload the completed OH&S form, proof of Liability cover and food permits (if applicable).

Your application will be reviewed by the Fair Committee and you will be advised if you were successful. If you are successful you will receive a receipt for your payment, if unsuccessful you will receive your money back in full.

We have implemented this process this year because in previous years we have spent considerable time chasing payments from a significant number of vendors. All Lions members are volunteers who willingly give up their time to assist with the Fair and we hope by introducing new processes we will free them up to assist in other ways.

GENERAL INFORMATION

As per previous years, you need to supply your own gazebos, tables, chairs, etc. NOTE: WE WILL NOT BE SUPPLYING POWER.  If you are bringing your own generator you need to advise us beforehand so we can ensure you are not put where the generator will affect those surrounding you.

It is important to note: that the surface at Ritchie Bros is not suitable for pegs securing gazebos. All gazebos must be secured with suitable weights. Site inspections will occur to ensure all gazebos are secure.

We retain the right to limit the number of Vendors selling the same or similar products/services. Generally, with same/similar vendors we will operate on first to apply and pay will be successful. However, to show loyalty to our previous stall holders we reserve the right to give them priority for the first week of bookings assuming payment has been received from them.

THIS YEAR’S LAYOUT

Because we were at the Yatala location for the first time last year, we are reviewing the layout for stalls, stages, etc. Thus, your receipt may not have an allocated site number, these will be assigned closer to the Fair dates. When you receive details of your site number(s) you will be issued with all instructions for bump in and bump out.  These times will be strictly adhered to.  It will be necessary for you to bring your receipt and site notification with you to minimise the delays in finding your site.

SITE SHARING

IMPORTANT – If you are planning on sharing your stall with another business you MUST advise us of this on your application, again so we can ensure variety. It is not fair for those who apply and go through the proper process to then turn up only to find another like business is sharing with the stall next to them because we weren’t advised of the sharing arrangement. If this occurs and we haven’t been advised of the sharing arrangement, the business we weren’t aware of will be asked to leave.
